Submissions

Types of contributions

Submissions are welcome in the form of individual abstracts and session proposals. All abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

Abstracts

The abstract should follow this format:

  • Title (maximum 20 words).
  • Body of the abstract (maximum 1000 words, including references), that should follow the following structure: Background, Aims, Methods, Results, Discussion, Contributions and Implications, Key References.
  • Keywords (1 to 5).
  • Theme(s) (select at most 2 themes).

When submitting their abstract proposals, authors should indicate whether they prefer to deliver their presentation in an oral session or as a poster.
When submitting an abstract with multiple authors, at least one author ought to be present at the conference.
The authors of the selected abstracts will be invited to develop them in full papers (maximum of 10,000 words, including references).

Session proposals

The format for session proposals is as follows:

  • Title of the proposed session (maximum 20 words).
  • Description of the proposed session (maximum 1000 words) that should follow the following structure: Name and affiliation of the participants, Motivation for the session, Content of the session, Proposed format.
  • Keywords (1 to 5).
  • Theme(s) (select at most 2 themes).

We welcome session proposals taking the traditional form of panels but also encourage innovative session designs.

Types of presentation

Accepted submissions may be reclassified as oral presentations or posters. Oral presentations will be grouped in thematic areas.

Oral presentations

Time allocation instructions will be provided in advance by the session chair, depending on the number of contributions in the session.
All presentation rooms will be equipped with Internet access, a computer, a projector, and a projection screen.
There is no mandatory presentation template. Authors may use any format that best suits their needs.

Poster

The creation, printing, and transportation of the poster to the conference venue are the responsibility of the author(s).
Conference organizers will provide poster stands located in a central area of the conference venue.
Printed posters should be in A1 size and must fit within the following maximum dimensions of the poster stand: 120 cm (width) × 160 cm (height).
A conference poster template will be made available here in due course.

Please note

  • Language: English is the default language of the conference. Written content (abstract, session proposals, full papers, slides) must be in English.
  • Abstracts and session proposals should be submitted on the platform that is accessible through the conference website.
