Miguel Otero-Iglesias

Miguel Otero-Iglesias is Senior Fellow in International Political Economy at the Elcano Royal Institute in Madrid. He is also a Professor of Practice at IE University and Research Director at the IE Center for the Governance of Change. His research focuses on international political economy, global financial governance, and the dynamics of the European Monetary Union.
In the past, he has held research and teaching positions at the London School of Economics (LSE), the University of Oxford, and the ESSCA School of Management in Paris. He has been a regular visiting research fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in Beijing and has provided expert input for international media such as the New York Times, Bloomberg, and the Financial Times. Dr. Otero-Iglesias holds an MA in International Relations from the University of Manchester and a PhD in International Political Economy from Oxford Brookes University (UK).
