Visit to Consum

The visit consists of an initial tour of the Consum headquarters (lasting approximately 1.5 hours) during which Javier Quiles, Director of External Relations, will explain Consum and the cooperative model, and the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and contribute their ideas. Once the presentation is over, there will be a light lunch and coffee, followed by a visit to the logistics platform, which is located next to the headquarters.

Consum is Spain’s largest cooperative. It has more than 1,000 supermarkets, including its own stores and Charter franchisees, distributed throughout Catalonia, the Valencian Community, the Region of Murcia, Castile-La Mancha, Andalusia, and Aragon. In 2024, it had a turnover of €4.7073 billion, up 7.3%. It made a profit of €108.7 million, up 7.5%. With more than 5 million member-customers and 22,000 employees, Consum is the only distribution company with the Family-Responsible Company (EFR) certificate. The cooperative’s carbon footprint has been reduced by 81.1% since 2015. It is also the first company in the food distribution sector to obtain the “Reduzco” seal from the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
