Visit to Cooperativa de Viver

The visit will take place during the olive harvesting season. Subject to operations on the day, participants will be able to observe the intake of the harvested olives and some stages of the extra virgin olive oil production process. The tour will also include the olive mill and the winery, before concluding with a tasting of the Cooperative’s products in its dedicated tasting room.

The experience will demonstrate how an agri-food cooperative can create new opportunities from local resources, improve the viability of agricultural activity and contribute to a thriving rural community. It offers a practical example of cooperation, innovation and diversification working for the benefit of people and the area in which they live.
